El Pulpo

El Pulpo is a premium cigar line from Artesano del Tobacco, developed in collaboration with master blender A.J. Fernandez and released in 2023 after several years of blending and refinement. The name translates to “the octopus” in Spanish, a nod to the cigar’s layered and far reaching flavour profile. El Pulpo is produced in Nicaragua and features a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, all carefully fermented and aged to create a rich, powerful blend with depth and balance.

Typically full bodied, El Pulpo is known for bold flavours that often include dark chocolate, espresso, roasted nuts, spice and hints of citrus. The line has been widely praised for its construction and complexity, with the Belicoso Grande earning a place in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2023. Since its launch, the range has expanded to include several box pressed sizes and more distinctive formats, helping El Pulpo quickly establish itself as a standout modern cigar with a strong following among experienced smokers.
